Literature Research Courses
Literature research is an important element of every academic paper. With the right methods and techniques, you can conduct structured, efficient research and save yourself a lot of time. In our courses you will learn about subject-specific databases, research techniques and a strategic approach to searching.
Our courses take place online and on site in small groups and are free of charge . Please register for an appointment. You are also welcome to use our self-study courses at any time.

In about 45 minutes, you will learn how to find relevant sources and literature for your topic. This introduction provides a concise overview with practical tips and explains why using subject databases saves time compared to search engines like Google.
In our online course you will learn in a very compact form
- know the important search spaces of catalogs(GöDiscovery) and databases (using Business Source Complete as an example) for research,
- how to search strategically,
- differentiate between publication types (monograph, article, anthology, gray literature),
- gain access to the literature found and much more.
