Your library Card

Access your library account in GöDiscovery via the tab ‘My account’. Please enter your Library card number (starting with 0007) and your password, which you will receive via the ‘Request password’ function.

In your library account you can

• check your loan periods and extend them up to eleven times,
• change your password and
• view your reservations, the validity of your library card and your overdue fines.

Please note: If you have outstanding fines of 10.00 Euro or more, your account will be blocked for all borrowing transactions. It will be automatically unblocked again once the outstanding overdue fines have been paid.

You need the copy and print account on your library card to pay for copies and printouts. You can find more information on this under Copy and Print Accounts.

Students use the password of their student account and can change it themselves on eCampus .

Private individuals and guests of our library have WLAN access at all our locations with their Library card number and the password for the copy and print account and can log on to the library PCs. The password is available to private individuals and library guests at our Service Desks and can be changed in the GWDG Identity Management.

In the inter-library loan account of the GBV Union Catalogue (GVK) you can place inter-library loan requests and view the status of your inter-library loan requests.

Your access data are your Library card number and the password for the inter-library loan account (not identical to the password for your library account). You can obtain the password for your inter-library loan account from our Service Desks and change it yourself directly in your inter-library loan account.

For private individuals and guests of the Göttingen University, the inter-library loan account can be set up on request.
