Practical Semester
We offer students of library and information science courses the opportunity to complete their internship semester with us and get to know the work in an academic library at first hand.
Practical Semester for Students in the Bachelor of Information Management

Students of Information Management (B.A.) and Library and Information Science (B.A.) can complete their internship semester with us.
In addition to students from Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Faculty III Media, Information and Design, students from other universities are also welcome to apply.
Practical Semester in the Conservation Workshop

Students of conservation and restoration of library and archival materials can complete a minimum 10-week practical training semester in our conservation workshop. The workshop is responsible for the preventive conservation, preservation and restoration of the library's diverse historical collections. In addition to its regular tasks, internships may be tailored to current projects, giving students hands-on experience.
Many then use this experience as the basis for the exposé of their B.A. thesis.
