Discuss Data II

Space Digital Humanities - Space for the German-speaking digital humanities community. As a decidedly data-driven research discipline, it has a pronounced sensitivity for digital research data. The collection, provision, and preservation of this data takes place in an 2/4 infrastructure of mostly institutional repositories that is now widely differentiated. However, these repositories lack opportunities for interactive discussion and professional exchange about the quality, validity, and reusability of research data.

The community space is intended to take on a bridging function here, with the goal of discursively bringing together the discussion about standards, formats, and forms of presentation and reuse of research data, and thus better dovetailing existing infrastructure and research, thereby enhancing the publication of research data (Kaden 2018).
